THE COLD SNOWY DAYS AND WARM ATMOSPHERE OF CHRISTMAS IS BEHIND US. THE FESTIVITY OF ANOTHER NEW YEARS EVE IS NOTHING BUT A MEMORY. WHAT IS LEFT ARE THE GREY ENDLESS DAYS OF JANUARY, WITH NOTHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO EXCEPT FEBRUARY, WHICH PROBABLY WON’T BE MUCH DIFFERENT. NO WONDER WE ARE ALREADY LONGING FOR SUMMER.
When you happen to live in a beautiful area like San Francisco Bay, it seems logical that summertime is never really far from you mind, even if it is January. Jeff Slater is one of these lucky people, and since he is also a talented photographer with a very nice model portfolio, it also seems logical that he would visualize this summer feeling with a series of photos that has one clear message during this cold and boring January month: a longing for these hot summer days. So that is what he did with his series H20 | Longing For Summer.
We can think of worse things to do than spending time with three sexy men around a heated pool. Jeff put his time to good use and shot series that, placed in winter time, gives us that nostalgic feeling of being there under the hot sun, caressed by silk-like hot water. Apparently the guys themselves didn’t have such a bad time either. Jeff’s comment on his photography: I really love what I do and approach it with an intensity to get the best result but mostly I love the fun of shooting a great model. We will create some great work together. Looking at this series, it seems like there is only one thing left for us to do: start looking for our next vacation destination. –B-
