Everybody Comes to Hollywood

IF LOS ANGELES IS NICKNAMED CITY OF ANGELS, HOLLYWOOD MOST DEFINITELY IS THE CITY OF STARS. EVEN THOUGH NOT A CITY BY ITSELF, IT MOST DEFINITELY IS A DISTRICT IN L.A THAT IS ALMOST MORE FAMOUS THEN THE CALIFORNIAN CITY ITSELF. BECAUSE HOLLYWOOD IS THE DREAM MAKER, THE PLACE WHERE MAGIC IS MADE AND STARS ARE CREATED. NO WONDER EVERYBODY WANTS TO GO TO HOLLYWOOD.

Every year many hopeful people arrive in Hollywood, full of dreams of making it in the film and entertainment industry. Naturally only a few ever make it. And these few always have their own story to tell, their own little fairy tale that helps building the true legend of this glamorous place.

Once upon a time, in a country far away named South Africa, there was a young man who was working very hard in the creative industry. Everything went well, but the young man, felt there was something missing in his life. And thus he went on a quest to find that piece of magic that would make his life complete. His travels took him to a big city named London and it was there that he found discovered the mysteries of the art of photography.

Dylan Rosser, for that was his name, really felt that this wondrous craft was what was missing to make his life complete, and thus he started to master himself in the art of male nudes, choosing his subjects with care. And by doing so he did not limit himself to his close surroundings only. No, Dylan explored the world and traveled to many places to find the most beautiful men.

At the same time Dylan was searching for his magic, a young boy was dreaming his own dreams in a land even further away. This boy, who is partly black, Dutch and Cheyenne Indian, goes by the name Cortland Anderson, and was born in another far away city named 'Daygo,' also known as San Diego. When he was seventeen, he decided that dreaming a fairy tale wasn’t enough anymore. He wanted to make it come true, and thus he went on his quest which brought him to Los Angeles, the city of angels, and Hollywood, the city of stars. Here he found his fulfillment, working for television, movies and featuring in music videos. But that isn’t enough for Cortland. He has bigger dreams.

It was in the summer of 2008 when Cortland arrived in a beautiful garden somewhere in Hollywood where exactly at that same time Dylan Rosser was finishing a shoot with Jakub Stefano and Turk Mason. When Dylan spotted Cortland he just knew he would look fantastic in his photos and so it came to happen that that same afternoon Cortland posed for Dylan. It was a great experience for both Dylan and Cortland, and after a magical afternoon of hard work with great result, bit Cortland and Dylan each went their own way, searching for new projects, more magic and bigger dreams. –B-
