BEAUTIFUL. A WORD THAT PROVOKES MANY EMOTIONS. EVER SINCE HUMANS STARTED TO LIVE IN IN ANY KIND OF SOCIETY, BEAUTIFY AND THUS BEAUTIFUL HAS BEEN A DESCRIPTION OF CERTAIN IMPORTANCE AND MEANING. AND NOW, SINCE FOUR YEARS, IT HAS BECOME SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT INDEED.

Since 2005 BeautifulMag, previously known as Beautiful, has created the opportunity to gay artists to present their talent. Like no other site, BeautifulMag has positioned itself as a platform, a window displaying a constant parade of stunning photography. Sometimes emotional, sometimes provocative, sometime sensual and sometimes just simply beautiful. Like no other site, BeautifulMag has been exploring the deeper thoughts and meanings of featured photographers, the concept behind the concept, the vision of the artist. And by doing so, BeautifulMag has become a concept by itself. An establishment, unique in its kind, that has made it possible for everyone to enjoy the vision of male beauty.

And now we are taking it one step further. For the first time in history you will be able to enjoy BeautifulMag in print. Not as a magazine, but as a book. And not just a book. No, it is a high quality photo book, 260 pages full of stunning portraits, a collection of 40 photographers that with their work represent what BeautifulMag is all about. Besides that, BeautifulVision, The Men of BeautifulMag.eu will contain many small paragraphs and anecdotes, the moments taken from four years of BeautifulMag, that makes the site what it is today.

The royalties of BeautifulVision will go entirely to Sidaction, the 15 years old French organization active in the ongoing battle against AIDS/HIV, both scientific and social, on international level. -B-

Congratulations, BeautifulMag on the occasion of having your first book published soon! There is no doubt that it will be a masterpiece! I will be pre-ordering my copy as soon as I finish typing this comment. And you are to be commended for donating the royalties from the book sales to Sidaction, an organization which has been doing such great work over the past 15 years.

Congratulations, Beautiful is the best, I follow this blog so many time (years) . I like the idea of a book and what it will represent to a cause, in this case to Sidaction. So one more, congratulations and keep the very good and beautiful work.

At the end of STAR TREK classic episode "That Which Survives", Dr. McCoy, Mr. Spock, and Captain Kirk engage in a brief discussion regarding the nature of beauty:

Mr. Spock: "Beauty is transitory, Doctor."
Captain Kirk: "I disagree with you, Mr. Spock."
Mr. Spock: "Indeed, Captain."
Captain Kirk: "Beauty...(long pause)...survives."

Beauty survives and so does BeautifulMag. But it not only survives, it has thrived over the past four years. Although I have not been following BeautifulMag since its inception, I have become quite familiar with it over the past year or so. The creative duo behind BeautifulMag never ceases to amaze me with their inventive blending of history, literature, philosophy, or science, with images of male beauty.

For those of you new to this site, I urge you to stick around for awhile. You will not be disappointed.
