222 years after this memorable day, Australia still celebrates the arrival of the first colonists. This particular day, celebrated on January 26, is known as Foundation Day, Anniversary Day, ANA Day or simply Australia Day. As many other national days in other countries, Australia Day is seen as controversial by many Australians, resulting in protests and manifestations. But mostly it is a day of celebration with music festivals, fire works and parades.
Launched in July 2008, 100% Australian made TRIBE Underwear and their newly launched TRIBE Swimwear has quickly earned a reputation for its innovative and stylish designs in the competitive market of Men's Underwear and Swimwear, and global attention for being 'Funky, Sexy, Fun.' Besides that, the brand completely answers the international perception of Australia’s beach and surf culture.
Specially for TRIBE Swimwear, UK based photographer Vincent Li photographed sexy Luke. And what better theme for a 100% Australian brand than Australia Day. And thus Luke flaunts his best assets and TRIBE’s hottest pieces, proudly draped in Australia’s own blue, red and white. Now here is a concept that definitely shows promise for future adaptations. We can already see hot muscled god wrapped in the stars and stripes for the 4th of July, a dark Mediterranean looking hunk dressed with nothing more than a beret and the French drapeau tricolore, or a tall blond on traditional clogs, wrapped in the Dutch red, white and blue. We can’t wait. –B-
