Ev Dylan's Lust

BEING COMFORTABLE AND TRUSTING A PHOTOGRAPHER ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENTS WHEN A MODEL CHOOSES TO WORK WITH SOMEONE. WORKING WITH EV DYLAN IN SOME WAYS IS LIKE HANGING OUT WITH A FRIEND, EXCEPT THE PURPOSE OF THIS TIME SPENT TOGETHER IS TO COLLABORATE ON SOMETHING ARTISTIC. EV DYLAN RESPECTS THE MODEL HE IS WORKING WITH AS MUCH AS HE RESPECTS HIS TALENT AND HIS TIME SPENT ON EACH PROJECT. - DW Chase, model –

Born and raised in new Orleans, Louisiana, 34 years old Ev Dylan now lives and works in Houston, Texas. He started his work in photography by shooting architecture and photo journalism. Now you might recall we once draw a parallel between shooting architecture and the male form, and that certainly applies for Ev Dylan. His first male model shooting was with a friend who asked him to take photos of him. Doing this Ev discovered aesthetics of the male physique and since then he developed his skills and art to what it is today.

26 Years old DW Chase is one of these models who seems to pop up in portfolios of many renowned photographers more and more lately. Which is no surprise since DW – or Dustin –has that rare ability to change image as easily as changing coats, keeping his looks interesting and fresh. Besides a successful model, DW is also a good friend of Ev Dylan and Ev’s inspiration for his up coming first photo book named Lust. The word Lust has come to mean different things, but in Ev Dylan’s project it simply means to convey the very best there is to offer about the male body. During his time of shooting and preparing for Lust, Ev has selected models on their ability to deliver strong poses and their dedication and the hard work they put into their physical image. In other words, the sacrifice one must make to become an image of lust.

Ev Dylan has been shooting men from all over the United States and Australia, resulting in a collection of men who, together, give a whole new meaning to the word lust. "I look at each shoot with each model as a chance to share my vision on what I see special about each of them," Ev explains. "I believe each and every one of these models deserves a chance to show the world what they can do. I hope this book will serve as evidence that these guys have unique looks and have a lot to offer the world as models." In gratitude to his friend and muse DW Chase, Ev Dylan will donate  the proceeds from Lust to support Dustin’s 10-year effort as a film critic. All together a beautiful project and these first sneak peeks here make us lust for more. –BM-

LUST will see a limited release this Fall before it will be full released in January 2011.
