TO SOME, PHOTOGRAPHY IS A BUSINESS. TO ME, IT IS A PASSION. IT IS THROUGH THIS AMAZINGLY CREATIVE PROCESS THAT I STUDY MY SUBJECTS, AND ALWAYS STRIVE TO FIND THAT ELUSIVE ‘PRECISE MOMENT’ WHICH SEPARATES A GREAT IMAGE, FROM ONE THAT CAPTIVATES, ENLIGHTENS, INFORMS. – FLYFOTO –

FLYFOTO is a freelance fine arts photographer who is based on Boston, Massachusetts. His artistic focus is to celebrate the male form through fashion and fitness and he has been doing this for over 20 years. His aesthetic concentrates on the investigation of the unique sensuality of each of his models, and then he sets an artistic story to those discoveries. “I believe that the final image must be dynamic, dramatic, artistic. I shoot selectively, and always with a very specific goal. To that end, I choose models carefully, and with highest respect for that goal.” –FLYFOTO-

It has never been simply enough for FLYFOTO to document the masculinity of men. He believes it is the specific emotional and sexual intrigue that makes each model unique, and aims to leverage on those aspects. And thus FLYFOTO has given himself a mission. It is all about forcing the viewers to look more intimately at his portraits in order to find their own personal moment of visual arousal.

When it comes to his way of working FLYFOTO explains that he has an intuitive knack for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of his subjects as he shoots them. Rather then following a set schedule, he prefers to adjust his approach to suit the individual model. It is that special sensibility that allows him to tap into the real essence of his men and to achieve photographic results that are powerful yet simple all at the same time. It is also that personal touch in his approach that has given him a status and name of a photographer easy to work with in order to get great results.

Being a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, FLYFOTO has participated in various group shows and also hosted a one man show at the BYOA collaborative gallery in Boston. Over the year the FLYFOTO signature style has been published in many periodicals, websites and printed magazines. And now FLYFOTO is working on his own fine art book which will be a collection of his most beautiful work. –BM-
