There is something about men in uniform. We all know that and you would probably fool yourself if you would deny it. I don’t know what it is, but they just look better. Hotter. More sexy. It doesn’t matter what kind of uniform. It can be a police officer. Fire brigade. Nurse. A man in a business suit. Hell, even a sales guy in a shop can give you goose bumps (which is probably why I purchased a new portable computer the other day even though I really didn’t need it right now). So what is it that makes them look so attractive? Is it the actual uniform? No, that can’t be because, as we already pointed out, the attraction virus spreads through different ranges of outfits. No, we tend to believe it has more to do with a certain sense of authority. Of course, a salesguy has not the same sway as a police officer. Where a law enforcer communicates strength and protection with his outfit, a vendor needs to seduce you which often happens with nice fitting trousers, a dark look and a smile that is either teasing or gives you the reassurance he will take care of you no matter what.
Some guys don’t need a uniform to establish their authority. David Hasselhoff knew this very well when he first pitched the idea for a beach TV series back in 1989. After a disappointing first season, Baywatch would soon turn out to become the best watched TV show of all times and ran for 9 seasons in its original concept. Not exactly thanks to the in-depth storylines, but doubtless due to the talented cast. Known for its vast amount of sexy actresses, Baywatch also knew a large number of incredible handsome guys who indubitably have stand model for many restless teenage dreams. Who doesn’t remember those slow motions clips of the incredibly cute Billy Warlock (don’t mind the generous locks) or, for the later fans, David Charvet. Young men who didn’t need much more than a red beach short (loose around the legs but tight at the right places) and their Burnside buoy to radiate authority and yes, an irresistible steaminess. Let’s face it, we all like to be taken care off, and if so, why not by some nice packed man? They simply are more sexy and there is nothing wrong with that, is there? –BM-
