Jeff Brewster | Latin Cowboys, Vol. 2

HAVING A TIME CONSUMING PASSION BEIDES YOUR REGULAR DAYTIME JOB CAN SOMETIMES BRING YOU IN THE AWKWARD SITUATION THAT YOU HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE. MEANING YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO ONE THING, BUT REALLY SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, ESPECIALLY IF THAT JOB ALLOWS YOU TO PRACTICE YOUR MORE FAVORABLE ACTIVITIES. WE KNOW THIS VERY GOOD. ANF MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WE WORK WITH KNOW THIS AS WELL. SUCH AS JEFF BREWSTER.

With the exception of Tucker in August 2010, the regular flow of photography coming from Jeff Brewster came to a temporary end with his Latin Cowboys in October 2009. This doesn’t mean we had forgotten about Jeffrey. On the contrary. But knowing Jeff is spending most of his time on his busy daytime job, we have been sitting back and waited patiently for new work from the Texas based photographer. Which is now. And what better way to pick up the trail where we left off in 2009. With more Latin Cowboys.

Jeff Brewster operates from his hometown Austin in the state Texas, but can also be found on location in other parts of the United States. But with the exception of New York, he seems to have a preference for the more southern territories, such as Louisiana and Florida. If you are familiar with Jeff’s work, that is probably not such a shocker. Jeff likes his men pure and natural and preferably with little to no modeling experience. In other words, a real ‘southern beau’.

Texas is the state known for its cowboys. Young handsome and naturally muscled men who live and work on large ranges herding cattle. Texas is also known for its colorful and mixed inhabitants. Here you find people of Cuban, Puerto Rican and Mexican origin, and generations of living in the Lone Star state have resulted in a nice mix of beautiful, handsome people. So just imagine, masculine cowboys with Latin DNA. Now there is a nice fantasy, no? And Jeff Brewster is the man to turn that fantasy in a reality. Which he does today with Albert, Brando, David, Ed and Fets.

Jeff Brewster has made name for himself as a real star maker. Indeed several of his men have found their way towards international model gigs and agency contracts after being discovered by Jeffrey. The freshness and natural character of his boys make them thankful photography subjects, and Jeff Brewster’s work enjoys much interest from international publications. As his successful 2011 calendar – Boy Next Door – proofs. Boy Next Door won the title of Best Calendar of 2011 in the category Glamour and Fashion. Reason enough for Jeff Brewster to rebalance his double career, and present new work. –BM-
