AS WE ALREADY MENTIONED IN OUR EDITORS LETTER, WE DO LIKE TO WATCH SPORTS. IF NOT FOR THE ACTION THAN SURELY FOR THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES. WE ARE NOT ASHAMED TO SAY IT. AFTER ALL, WE KNOW WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES. LET’S FACE IT, SEEING LEAN, HARD MUSCLED MEN PLAYING… IT MAKES YOUR BLOOD RUN AND STIRS UP THE HORMONES.
James R. Halloran is 24 years old and is pretty new to modeling. In fact he only started late 2011. But the shoots he has done so far are worth seeing. James as a body to die for and has no problem what so ever showing it off in front of the lens. Asking him to describe himself, James claims he is a model, writer, literature lover, realist, coffee aficionado and a workaholic. We happen to know, James is also a passionate athlete and his sport of choice is ice hockey.
In the top ten of toughest sports, ice hockey takes a respectable second place, right after boxing. If you have ever sat though a game of hockey, you know it can get pretty rough every now and than. It’s part of the game and it is one of the thing that makes it exciting. But because of the violent character of the sport, the athletes are well dressed and better protected. And, if you are a sports fan who also likes to check out the players, that makes it less interesting to see. With all those layers of protection and apparel you can only guess what the guys look like underneath. James however has been so kind to help us out and lift a tip of the veil.
Do you remember John M. Clum? The talented photographer who lives and works at the Table Rock Refuge in the Endless Mountains in Pennsylvania. John is an artist with a passion for the human figure, life and the world around him. John also likes hockey and found the perfect way to combine one passion with the other. With photography. Recently he shot an ice hockey set and he did that with James Halloran. Obviously not a bad choice since, as mentioned before, James is a hockey player himself and thus the perfect guy to strike the pose. The hockey pose that is. Knowing John’s work, we knew that this series would be a success again. And we are not disappointed. John scored a real bardown. –BM-
