SOMETIMES IT IS BASED ON AN INSPIRATION THAT WAS FED BY OTHERS. OR INSPIRATION THAT CAME FROM SEEING SOMETHING SO BEAUTIFUL AND OUTSTANDING IT JUST ASKED TO BE IMMORTALIZED. SOMETIMES IT WAS JUST A WAY OF CREATIVE EXPRESSION. PHOTOGRAPHERS END UP DOING WHAT THEY DO FOR VERY DIFFERENT REASONS. BUT DID YOU EVER HEAR THAT SOMEONE WOULD BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHER OF SELF-PORTRAITS BECAUSE HE IS SHY?

It was a lack of confidence and shyness that drove Constantine eventually to start experimenting with a camera and take self-portraits. When showing them to some people he realized the work was actually quite good and that drove him to take things a bit further. Though pretty safe in the beginning he tried to do some nudes, and again, he received positive reactions. Everything he did was still focused on himself, but that took a turn when a friend approached him to take photos of him.

In a moment of passion and boldness Constantine proposed to a friend to make photos while they were having sex. The result was rough and not very artistic, but Constantine did see potential in the idea. He started to ask around to see who would be interested to participate and found that all of his intimate friends were willing. A great boost for Constantine. Not only for his photography, but also for his libido. Since the photographs became very personal, Constantine decided to preserve a certain anonymity in his work. The initial idea for that was to protect his friends, but he soon realized it also gave his work a certain exciting angle and the possibility to focus on the bodies and the activities more than on the personalities. “I found that by making these "anonymous photos" I could say even more that with the faces and the identities of the models. They (and I) become just concepts, personifications of something else. The models are not important, but the image and the ideas behind them.”

To take his photos Constantine uses an old Nikon 8800 camera. Its basic but it suits the purpose. Sometimes he just puts the camera on a chair or another place where he can create a wide angle of the action scene. Other times he manually plays with the camera while being involved in the action. Afterwards all material is edited in Photoshop, which is the part Constantine loves even more than the actual sessions. “I find this activity very exciting. It's a mix of emotions. I'm turned on by the fact of posing in front of the camera thinking about how the photo will look, also by the fact of searching new poses and lights, and colors. I'm also turned on by the fact of being watched. I never dreamed about that, but I find that very hot. Sometimes I find my pics in remote Tumblrs and blogs, surrounded by lots of great photos of people I don't even know... and I feel very proud, and shy, and hot. It's really great!”

Taking photos is a hobby and a passion for Constantine and the more he does it the more ideas he gets. What started as a way to cure his shyness has turned into a passion that allows him to share his sexuality and his creativity. “I always try to be better and to find new ways to portray sex in an artistic way. I have some new ideas in mind, but I need more models ☺.” The freedom Constantine has allowed him to take in his work is refreshing and daring, and a pleasure for everyone who loves artistic photos, exciting man and sex. –BM-
