Lost on the Beach with Philip Evelyn and Seth London

The beaches of Long Island are the favorite weekend and summer destination of many New Yorker and beyond. Jones Beach, Long Beach, Fire Island and of course the world famous Hamptons offer spots that simply don’t come any better. For many Long Island is a summer dream location, for others its home. Seth London for example.

Seth London was born and raised in Long Island and so it was also here where he first started to experiment with photography. And while commuting between the city and his Long Island home, he became that amazing artist he always wanted to be. A man able to create dreams with his photographic vision. Over the last year and a half, Seth has worked hard and built himself an impressive portfolio which includes not only male artistic portraits but also a large set of fashion work, cross-gender. Being part of the city that never sleeps, Seth has clearly adapted himself to that motto as he seems to be shooting 24/7. No wonder he rapidly became a much sought-after photographer, both for model portfolio work and fashion editorials.

Earlier this year Seth London partnered with model Philip Evelyn for a fashion shoot which he conceptualized using the wide-spread Long Island beaches as background. Philip Evelyn lives in New York and so he is without doubt no stranger to the Long Island beaches. Philip is not originally from the Big Apple, but knew instantly the moment he arrived that was the place he belonged. Having always had a great passion for fashion, it is no surprise that Philip, with his beautiful skin, cheekbones and tall posture, tried his luck in modeling. And with success. “I love fashion and modeling goes hand in hand with it. It's about imagination, style, and poise. It's another freedom of expression that I enjoy,” Philip explains.

Philip Evelyn is of Jamaican origin but born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. His dream is to make it in the mainstream scene of modeling and fashion, leave a stamp and be a success in his own right. “I like that in fashion pretty much anything goes. There are so many different points of views and styles. There are things in fashion that make you think, make you go wow, or load your brain with a thousand question marks. I love that.” With his easy-going personality, his commitment to give 150% in front of the camera and his quest for perfection in all he does, we have no doubt that Philip will make it big in the industry. Asked about summer associations, Philip doesn’t have to think long. Heat, beaches, pools, cheesecake, tank tops and rooftop parties are the things he calls out immediately.
