But sometimes the legend that surrounds the man is, unwillingly, bigger than intended. Fred Faurtin has gained fame all over the world with his performances in the gay adult industry. His fanbase includes guys from ever corner of the world. This would be enough to make any person an inaccessible diva. Not Fred though. Fred Faurtin is down to earth, good natured, friendly and most of all modest.
Fred Faurtin was born in Le Mans, France, in 1971, but has been living in the French capital city Paris for many years now already. His career started off in a very different direction, landscaping, but according to Fred there isn’t that much difference. “It both involves some sculpting and trimming and is very physical as you can imagine.” Where many aspiring porn actors longingly look to the west, where the big American studios are located, Fred chose his path east. Which turned out to be not such a bad choice.
Fred Faurtin’s first choice of production company was Cazzo. Simply because he and his partner had been enjoying productions from the German film company for some time already. It turned out to be a good choice as well ad Fred became in no time Cazzo’s figurehead. But Fred decided to never sign an exclusivity contract with Cazzo, which eventually allowed him to be active for more productions simultaneously. And when he eventually won an international award for best newcomer in the industry in 2005, other international doors opened for Fred. Fred has retired from the adult industry since 2010 at the time when he was, as he said so himself, still on top. But that doesn't mean we have to settle with less Fred Faurtin. His films are still there to enjoy and so is his well acclaimed photobook The X Faces of Fred Faurtin, all shot by Exterface and handsomely edited by Editions Nemo Media.
When Mircius Aecrim came to visit us in Paris, we rounded up some of the hottest guys in our city available at that time to work with him. One of them being Fred Faurtin and that turned out to be a bulls eye shot. Because even though Mircius had never seen Fred in action, he was aware of Fred’s reputation as a model and to be able to work with him was like a dream come through. “I knew about Fred for a while and had seen photography with him done by other artists,” Mircius comments. “I was really nervous about meeting him, working with him. But the guy is amazing. And it was such an honor. I wanted to do something very different with him than what I now from him. Something simple and sensitive. And he totally fitted the concept.”
Once again Mircius Aecrim set up his equipment in our home overlooking the historical Place de la Republique in Paris, and once again he created a series of photographs so fitting the surrounding that it is almost scary. It is almost like when Mircius settles down in a new environment, he absorbs the place around him and makes it a part of him. With a cunning sensitivity he knows how to build on an existing atmosphere and puts a general mood out of that. He then seamlessly places his subject of the shoot in that scene, makes him one with the background, like he has always ben there. In this case, he shows us a Fred Faurtin not many people know. Not the artistic photo model. Not the hot porn star. But a simple man, beautiful in his simplicity, dreamy and absent. He seems to be waking up after a night of passion and love, alone in this house. He seems to be pondering, not knowing what hit him. Is it love? Is it regret? Or is it simply that moment after such an intense experience that you try to keep with you for as long as you can. One thing we know for sure, this series is a great addition to the legend of Fred Faurtin and yet another view on Paris by Mircius Aecrim. –BM-

You gotta love Fred! Yes, he is undeniably HOT but his personality makes him much more so...down to earth, as you stated in the article. I'll always support him in any way i can.
