It has been 6 years since we first discovered the photographic talent of Sandro Bross. Sandro, who originally works as a hair stylist in Baden, Switzerland, started playing with photography not long before we stumbled upon him, although playing is probably quite the understatement. Picking up the camera unlocked a passion and amazing skillset Sandro had been cherishing for quite some time already.
As mentioned above, Sandro Bross started to use his camera as semi-professional photographer more then 6 years ago and it seems like he has not been able to put it down ever since. His impressive online portfolio’s Photoscouts and SandroBross.com are living proof of that. For a long time it seemed you almost had to visit his websites on a daily base to keep up with the new work he created. Until at some point Sandro came to the realization that he needed to focus on what he was doing. To take a step back, and think about where he was going with his art. And so he took a conscious break.
Not long ago we got back in contact with Sandro Bross and found him happily photographing again. The set of photos presented today are a small selection of his more recent work and we are very happy to see that, regardless of his break from photography, Sandro did not change his so recognizable style. In fact, the break he took lead him to conclude that what he had been doing all those years, was what he represents as a talented and high quality photographer. If anything, it made him realize there is still more to do and larger goals to accomplish. It is not secret that Sandro Bross likes to work with young and fresh talent. Young men that are often new in the world of modeling and have that innocent yet seductive look in their face. That attitude that shows both curiosity to what’s next and the promise for what they can bring. It is that same sensual naivety we can often see in the boys from adult film producer BelAmi and that realization made Sandro Bross think about a new future objective and dream. To create his own photobook and work with the BelAmi boys. Probably in that combination, but if you ask us, not necessarily so, since Sandro’s work is worth many photobook already. I for one am glad to see Sandro back with new work and can’t wait to have that long overdue coffee table book in my hands. –BM-
