The city of Manchester is located in the north west of England and is, after London and Birmingham, the third largest urban area in the United Kingdom. It is also home to David McIntosh. Dave grew up in Manchester and has ever since he was a kid showed a great interest in sports. In fact he liked sports so much that, even though his grades were good, he never showed any interest for college. Dave is a man of action. And so it came to happen that Dave left school at the age of 16 and decided to embark on the hardest and longest training in the world.
At age 16 Dave Mac, as he calls himself as well, signed up for an intense 32-weeks long infantry training which eventually bought him a career with the Royal Marines. As a commando he received the coveted green beret. His job made him discover the world, and Dave served all over the Middle East, Afghanistan being one of the most dangerous assignments of all. Dave Mac chose the hard life. A life of conflict and combat, encounter and action. And that would probably not make Dave the kind of man to start up a modeling career. But that is exactly what he did. Because Dave Mac never leaves a challenge untried.
Recently David McIntosh traveled to New York City for the first time and it was in New York where he met London. Seth London that is. Seth is an established photographer who resides on Long Island and lives by the motto that as long as New York never sleeps, his camera does neither. Dave Mac has most definitely experienced that first hand: “My recent trip to NYC was fun. I didn't really party much or see any sights as I was shooting every single day, but I did meet some real cool people which made it all good. And I also had the best pizza around Welldone NYC.” Seth hasn’t been in the photographers field for a very long time, but has already made quite a name for himself as artistic and fashion photographer. And especially that experience in fashion was exactly what Dave was looking for in New York: “I've been doing modeling on and off for a few years but last year I decided to put my all into it and not just dominate the fitness scene but take on everything, including fashion.”
Although Dave Mac has tasted the pleasures of the fashion world – the exciting parties and meeting interesting people – he also believes the fashion world is not very diverse: “There are types of clothes and styles for everyone yet we only seem to see one slim n tall on the catwalk.” The catwalk however is not a place were we likely will find Dave. His years of sports and his military career has shaped his body into muscular perfection and he is not likely to sacrifice anything from those beautiful curves for a night on the catwalk. Something tells me most of you all completely agree with that decision. –BM-
