TO BE ORIGINAL
"Originality and authenticity are very important to me. I made a conscious choice to do what I do and I have no complex or shame for that. In that sense I’m quite audacious. Modeling is not all I do. I have a regular daytime job in which I sell houses. My coworkers, they all know about my modeling work. They admire the choices I make and encourage me to go on. When I agree to work with a photographer, I see it as a commitment. I go for it 100%. When I was young I was brought up in a free spirited family. Our vacations were spent on nudist beaches, and so I have no issue with my own nakedness. I feel comfortable with my body and looks and enjoy being in main stream photography as well as in portraits that show me in a more bizarre scenario, such as the work from HdeLuxe, whom I admire enormously. Full nudity is no problem for me though I do draw the line with pornography and full erect imagery."
STAYING FRESH
"I started modeling when I was 23. That is now 3 years ago. During these years I have collaborated with many interesting photographers, both domestic and international. Together we always succeed to show a different side of me. I have also worked very hard on my own marketing as a model. My photo’s seem to be quite popular on blogs and I always make sure to give some time when blog owners want information from me. I’m quite active on Facebook which has given me a lot of fans there as well. Plus I have participated in contest, the Mr Têtu 2012 being a recent one. Since the beginning there has been interest from photographers that address a gay audience, but I have also started to focus on mainstream photography. In addition I’m following acting classes and hope that in the near future this will offer me new opportunities as well."
PHYSICAL ATTENTION
"I grew up, like all other kids, hairless. In my case however, it seemed that my features were so refined that I sometimes even was mistaken for being a girl. Can you believe that now – ha ha ha. I have to admit that growing older and the hair started to come out, it took me some getting used to. I am of Portuguese/Lebanese origin and this legacy has given me quite some body hair. I guess I am quite fortunate that we are currently living a hair fashion, which has made me quite popular among men. So I don’t shave. I trim when necessary, for shoots or for my own feeling, but that means cultivating what I have, not taking it all off. There is another positive about me having dark body hair. As said before, I’m only 26 but my facial hair gives me the seriousness that I need in my realtors work. So even if I felt a bit awkward in the beginning, being hairy worked out very good for me. And if the current rend changes, well we’ll cross that bridge when we get there."
ENJOYMENT IN LIFE
"Popularity can work as an aphrodisiac. Working hard to built a modelling and acting career results in a certain level of popularity and I would be lying if I say I don’t like it. It makes me feel good. Other things that make life worth living for? I absolutely love going to the gym. Seriously. I go about 5 times a week and I simply don’t feel good if I miss one time. Strangely enough I’m not the kind of guy who puts himself on a diet all the time. As much as I like working out, I also like to eat well. When it comes to food I’m quite the hedonist. It’s my only sin though. I don’t drink, don’t smoke and don’t do drugs. Also I love to travel. Growing up with a pilot for a father I got to travel a lot and I can’t get enough of it. Brazil and Barcelona are among my favourite destinations. I think, all together, I simply like the enjoyments life has to offer me." –BM-
