The people of Atlantis had been living long and prosperous, but their time was coming to an end. Thanks to the great knowledge of their High Priests, they knew it was coming. They could see the signs and read the prophecy. And so, when the waters began to rise, they built great arks and filled them with seeds, plants and life stock. And when the time came they left their citadel and swarmed out into every direction. Atlantis was swallowed by the waters of the sea, but the people survived and started their new lives elsewhere. Some went as far as the Himalayas, others settled on the banks of the mighty Nile river, and others arrived on the vast continent of Europe. Here they settled once again, and from these new locations they inhabited the rest of the world. The year was 3113BC and it was the beginning of the 4th World, or the World of Water.
We have heard many stories and just as many predictions. Today, December 21 2012, is the day of the apocalypse. The end of the world. But what does that really mean? Will the world really come to an end. Are we going to be hit by an asteroid and die in an all consuming nuclear winter? Not likely so. At least not today. There are asteroids close to our planet large enough to destroy life on Earth but none of them will come that close that there is any danger of impact before the year 2028. No, the famous doomsday prophecy from the Mayas refers to a very different end. According to the Aztek calendar, and lets face it, it is a very precise calendar, today a new era begins.
According to the ancient Mayas, the fifth dimension is the spiritual world of ether ruled by creativity. It was their believe that a great divine entity would return and lead us to a higher level of existence. We would become divine ourselves, dominated by and functioning in a newly awakened light body. It all sounds wonderful and mysterious, but what dose this really mean? That today of all days we would just shake of our physical beings and transform into a new existence? In the past many have prophesized the end of our time. All these predictions turned out to be wrong. And so it is very possible that today as well will pas like any other day. Maybe it is a midway point of a vaster transition, to large for us to grasp. Or maybe it is just a fabricated date. Nothing is certain except that we are riding an ever-accelerating rate of increase in knowledge, technology, and climate change, and that it must, at some point soon, reach its unimaginable crescendo. Where we go from there is anyone's guess.
Maybe today is simply the day for us to take a pause. To think about who we are and where we are, and imagine how we go from here. A moment to stand still to appreciate what we have and how far we have come. And tomorrow? Tomorrow we move on. Because tomorrow is just another day. –BM-
