Ain't No Mountain High Enough

NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO IN LIFE, YOU WANT TO SUCCEED. YOU WANT TO STAND OUT FROM THE REST. AND THAT MEANS YOU NEED TO DARE TO RISE ABOVE THEM. TO CLIMB AND REACH HIGHER GROUND. BUT THAT DOESN’T COME WITHOUT RISK. BECAUSE IF YOU CLIMB HIGH, YOU CAN ALSO FALL DEEP. A KNOWLEDGE THAT CAN BE AN OBSTACLE FOR MANY TO REACH THEIR GOAL. BUT NOT FOR JJ BECKER.

JJ Becker is a first generation American, which means he was born and raised in the United States but his parents are both from foreign origin. In JJ’s case that means German and Dutch. A heritage that clearly shows in his looks. Blond hair blue eyes and standing 6’ 3” (1m91) tall. Only 20 years old, JJ Becker is a college student at a Californian Community College in his hometown San Luis Obispo. He’s the kind of guys who adapts himself easily to every situation, who is enthusiast and positive, open minded and hard working and down to earth. Although that last characteristic can be seen in a very different light.

Down to earth as he might be, JJ Becker is also the kind of guy who likes a challenge. And his challenge lies in the field of rock climbing. In fact, JJ is the kind of guy that get’s stars in his eyes and itching fingers whenever he sees a distant mountain. “I love mountain climbing and the feeling of being higher than everything the world. It's a beautiful view from up there. The world is untouched, unchanged, pure and clean. Admittedly, I have a bit of an obsession with mountains. In fact, one day I want to climb Mt. McKinley.” But JJ is also a man of contrast and in his case that reveals itself in an attraction to falling: “I also like the feeling of falling. It's something about looking face first at the ground, the anticipation of landing, hanging in the air until the very last second. These two guilty pleasures compel and drive me, falling and being on the top of mountains.”

With his love for mountain sports, JJ Becker has developed himself as quite the snowboarder and cliff diver. He can spend hours searching for the perfect cliffs and ski areas where he can live his passion. “The two things that make me happy are being on a mountain and falling. I can never have enough of them. The sensation they give me are true pleasure. They are my addiction; my cure and fulfillment. I could care less what type of car I have, what kind of job I have or how many friends I make.” Obviously activities like that require a high level of confidence, and that has brought JJ also to a whole different level of entertainment: modeling and performing arts.

JJ Becker does a bit of acting here and there and is often asked for roles that require special dialects and accents, as he seems to have developed a special skill in that area. Modeling is something he recently started to do but it has already brought him some good opportunities. Interested in making a professional presence in the industry, he focuses on as many territories he can think of. Athletic, fashion, fitness, swim- and underwear. Yes, even runway. JJ Seems you have all the ingredients to make it in this business. The right personality, the perfect drive and surrounded by people who  believe in him, such as photographer Travers Dow and his agent Lamont Pinckney. That and the fact he is a climber with no fear of falling should bring him a long way. –BM-
