If that introduction sound familiar, you might be right. Those are the words from Roberto Araujo, whom we introduced to you here on BM back in December 2012. If you remember that, you probably also remember Roberto is living and working in Now York City but comes originally from Mexico City, where he first started photography already at the age of 11. Roberto has the rare combination of having worked both in front and behind the camera, which gives him a huge advantage working with models and striving to get what he has in mind. He knows how things work and he knows how to reach his goals. It clearly shows in his photography work.
Also living in New York is Tom Carter. Tom was born 32 years ago in a small town up in the Rocky Mountains, where he grew up in a family of ten children. It must have been nice to have so many brothers and sisters, though maybe also difficult to differentiate yourself. Tom did it with flying colors though. He studied medicines and recently graduated from medical school, ready to start his residency. Quite the scientist he is, Tom also has another side. He has a similar passion for art, photography and more as he has for medicines, which inevitably has opened the path for him into modeling. Why inevitably? Well, just look at the guy. His pictures say enough.
Tom Carter and Roberto Araujo met through a modeling website. Their online conversations soon turned into a life meeting and fruitful cooperation. So fruitful that they decided to not leave it at a one time event. “Tom feels very comfortable with me and that is always my aim,” explains Robert about the result of his work with Tom Carter. “Photographing someone is very invasive, more so where there is so little clothes involved. The intimacy we were able to capture in this images is a testament to our great chemistry and rapport.” Their work together was the basis for a good friendship between Roberto and Tom which doubtless will lead to other exciting photographic endeavors.
Besides his work with Roberto Araujo, Tom Carter is of course interested to work with other talented photographers as well. He is on a mission to diversify his portfolio and can for that reason be contacted through his Model Mayhem profile. Roberto Araujo can be found there as well, but also updates his special photo blog on regular base with his latest work. Definitely worth a visit. –BM-

I love their work here. They inspire me. I am a fan of both. They make me want to be a better model. I, too, shot with Roberto, and he was wonderful to work with. He was kind and supportive. He is very talented; he will be the next Herb Ritts. We made magic and created amazing images. Keep creating great art the both of you! And thanks to Beautiful Mag for displaying such beautiful photos.
