If you would be able to trace back your ancestors, you might be surprised about the lives they lived. In the centuries before us, the priorities in people’s lives were very different from our own. Creativity and artistry is nothing new, but not everyone could allow themselves the freedom to actually follow up on those inspirational feelings. For most people simple survival was the most important thing and they could only do this by working 7 days a week, long hours. And even though some had a profession such as architect, mason or glass worker, it was more a way of living than a prerogative. How lucky we are to live in a time and world where we can chose what we want to do. Simply because we have a talent and because we like doing it.
Matt Savard is an avid fitness enthusiast who lives his lifestyle through and through. If he’s not at the gym preparing for his next show or working with a client, he can be found on various bodybuilding forums where he advises people on nutrition and exercise programs. Indeed Matt is a professional fitness instructor and a National Level Mens Physique Competitor in the NPC. Matt Savard chose his life in fitness consciously, though it probably wasn’t much of a question while growing up. As a kid he was always involved in sports. Basketball, football, baseball, you name it. Competitive as Matt is, he sought out the more individual sports after high school, and soon saw himself getting involved in several forms of martial arts and boxing. Matt fell in love with physical fitness and has dedicated his life not only to improving his own performance and physical abilities, but also to helping other to change their life to a more healthy and for lifestyle.
Jamie Dominic was born 27 years ago in Nashua, New Hampshire, about 45 minutes from Boston. 6 years ago he timidly made his first move towards a modeling career, which soon turned out to be the right thing to do for Jamie. Now 6 years later, he can already look back upon a rich modeling portfolio, and Jamie has decided to take his career into a new direction: photography. Like it was the case with Matt Savard, Jamie’s career seemed to have been predestined, though maybe not into such specifics as Matt’s. Ever since he can remember, art and the creation of it has been a huge fascination for Jamie. Though the expression of creativity can come in many ways, for Jamie it was music and the visual art of photography. First in front of the lens, and now also behind.
Our ancestors didn’t always have it easy. They often lived a life of hardship, worked many years and died young. Some has-d the opportunity to express their more creative character, but for most it wasn’t even something they could think about. But thanks to the sacrifices thy made, we are here now, and thanks to the hard work and changes they made and fought for, we now have the freedom to do pretty much what we want. We do not necessary have to follow in the footsteps of our fathers, or buy an apprenticeship in order to learn a skill and profession that would provide for us and our family. We have the liberty to follow our heart and let the creative juices flow. For Matt Savard they flow into a physical lifestyle. Jamie Dominic found his passion in the visual arts and music. How lucky we are to live in the 21st century where we can live the dream –BM-
