A few days ago we talked about physical exercise, how it changes your body and – if you do it right and get the result you went for – how nice it is to flaunt it. Chris Nogiec is no exception to that rule, except that he is. Sort of. Chris works out. A lot. I guess looking at him hear that doesn’t really comes as a surprise. But Chris work out for his health. He is a fanatic soccer player and likes to compensate the outdoors sports activity with the necessary muscle building. Chris believes working out for health is better at the end. The looks will come by themselves.
Of course working out is not enough if you want to obtain a body like Chris Nogiec’s. Physical training is only half the work. There is a big work to be done when it comes to nutrition. Chris knows what he’s talking about. He’s an expert when it comes to sports nutrition and even exercise physiology and that is something he does like to show off a little bit. His words, not mine. But lets be honest. Having a great body is nice as well and reason enough to show off. Chris has been doing it for about 8 years already. As a model that is.
Even though Chris Nogiec has been modeling for quiet some time now, it is not his main activity. Chris is studying hard to get his PhD and sees his modeling work as a nice artistic outlet. Chris loves science and thinks it’s really interesting and important, but he needs other outlets to keep his sanity: “My previous advisor did not like the fact that I was a model and that I had other interests besides my studies. However, for me, I need a variety of things to keep me interested. People say its superficial and yes, superficially, it’s about superficiality. In actuality, it’s more about depth in character. Successful modeling portrays an emotion, most commonly desire, but it takes more thought on the model’s part than just to sit there and look good.”
Asides from pursuing his doctorate at Boston University in computational metabolism, Chris currently also works as a certified nutritionist and personal trainer. With his study background in biography, exercise physiology and metabolism, Chris is able to train complete novices to pro-athletes and everyone in between. Beauty and brains, what more can one ask. According to many photographers not much, as apparently Chris is a well-sought after model. Such as New York based photographer Kevin Hoover, who had the privilege to be the first and only to shoot Chris with longer hair and unshaved. With his busy life and his studies, Chris has lesser time for his outlet than before. He is aware that at some point in the future he might have to choose and make an exit from his modeling work. We can only hope that that day is still far in the future. –BM-
