Tom Cullis started his career as a physical therapist and he did that in Southern California. A place that sounds like paradise to me, so one wonders why one would need physical therapist there, but nevertheless, Tom made a good living being one. It gave him the opportunity to work closely with world class athletes and celebrities from all walks of life. That by itself is already quite a nice experience. But for Tom it was even more. Because it was that human experience that would become his greatest inspiration to capture people in a moment of time and make it a wonderful thing to behold.
Currently Tom Cullis works as a photographer, following that first moment of inspiration. But that is not the only thing that inspires Tom. On the contrary. Tom has much respect for some of who are considered the masters of contemporary photography and finds much inspiration in their work and their approach. Richard Avedon for example, for being such a pioneer when it comes to fashion photography. Annie Leibovitz, whom Tom considers to be a teacher of fine tuning lighting to conjure a perfect mood. Greg Gorman for creating such priceless iconic images and Steven Klein for taking him out of his head. Tom’s list is long and impressive.
Apparently Tom Cullis also finds inspiration in the men and women he works with. For his art photography as well as his fashion work. Colby Lefebvre is such a person. Coming from a family of several pro athletes, Colby knows since childhood what it takes to get into an amazing shape. He himself is the living proof of it. Thanks to his impressive family tree Colby understands better than most the tradition of being an athlete, a competitor and a coach. Currently Colby works as Fitness Coach and Celebrity Trainer, sharing his own knowledge and experience with those in need for it. And since Los Angeles is a highly competitive city, it leaves no doubt Colby is a busy man.
Asides from the fact his family tree has many famous name on it, Colby Lefebvre himself is quite a celebrity as well. Like many famous faces in the fitness and entertainment industry, Colby started his modeling career with being one of the faces of Abercrombie & Fitch and had the incredible privilege to work with the amazing Bruce Weber. As said before, Colby comes from a very athletic family and so it seems logical that he himself as well rose to the highest levels in some branch of sports. For Colby sports have been everything in his life and he has practiced many of them. Football and baseball. Surfing and boarding. Hiking and running. Colby has always lived a life of activity and competition. Which has made him in a top personal coach and brought him the opportunity to work with some very famous athletes and entertainers. Modeling is another passion of Colby Lefebvre. Especially fashion and swimwear. The latter he does here today, with flair.
Like said before, we don’t really need summer to display some fashionable swim trunks. Especially showed on a divine model like Colby Lefebvre. And if we do, well, like I stated before, it must be summer somewhere on this planet. Just the thought of being in one of those briefs or boxers makes you sweat from tip to bottom, and even Colby seems to get a little bit hot from the work. As he clearly show on this last photo, so well captured by Tom Cullis. –BM-
