My question is; how does a photographer get these mid-grey tones while photographing a model who is probably quite white ?., My only half answer is that the photographer take shots with differing degrees of contrast, and then lessens the contrast in photo shop ?. I'd like to be wrong but I really don't know how it's achieved.. Your answers and best guesses are invited. :)
