Simon's Choice

IF WE SHOULD BELIEVE HOTSNAPZ PHOTOGRAPHER SIMON BARNES, THE UNITED KINGDOM IS FULL OF HANDSOME, SEXY, MUSCULAR MEN. EVEN THOUGH WE KNOW IT ISN’T REALLY THE CASE, IT IS A NICE THOUGHT, ISN’T IT. NO MATTER WHAT, SIMON KNOWS HOW TO CHOOSE HIS MEN, AND UP TILL NOW, WE HAVE HAD NO REASON TO COMPLAIN.

Hotsnapz Simon Barnes is one of those photographers who has developed a great eye when it comes to scouting new talent. His men are always sexy, always handsome and always fit. But they never seem to be the stereotype kind of guys. There is always something that makes them a bit different from the rest. Take Simon George for example.

Simon George lives in Merseyside, UK. I think you won’t have much trouble believing me if I tell you Simon has been quite active in fitness activities since very young age. All you have to do is look at the guy. Can you believe this handsome man is only 19 years old? His early sport activities have not only resulted in a great body, it also make Simon grow up to be quite a competitive nature. Which he applies on pretty much everything he does in his life. Simon always strives to be the number 1. And to do that he works hard and dreams big. Simon knows what it takes and seeing him doing his fitness routine is impressive.

Simon George, Si for his friends, has everything it takes to make it in life. A supporting family, great dedication in what he does and passion for what he wants to achieve. “I have been training for 3 years it’s something I couldn’t live without,” he explains. “I honestly don’t think people can quite understand unless they have experienced it themselves, bodybuilding is so unique and is on my mind 24/7, the feeling of the skin tearing pumps and being able to break through physical barriers has become such a huge part of my life. We all have just one body to call our own, and we all have the power to shape it however we like, so the way I think is why not create something beautiful?” Simon made his choice and his choice is to become the number 1 fitness model in the world. But besides this personal ambition, he also sees himself as an ambassador for body development and is most willing to help others reaching that same physical and mental stage.

Simon is a man who seems to know what he wants out of life. A healthy lifestyle, ambitions to make it big in fitness and modeling and – why not – an acting career. And on top of that all he wants to help others in realizing their own dreams. Admirable and respectful. Because an ambition such as that requires sacrifices that not many are willing to make. Simon made his choice, just as he choose this set of photos to illustrate who he is. A determined handsome young men who has his mind fixed on a successful future. –BM-

An American Dream called Armani

IT COULD BE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE UNTOUCHABLE. UNREACHABLE. OBJECTS OF DESIRE YOU CAN ONLY LUST FOR FROM A DISTANCE. WHATEVER IT IS, FOR MANY GAY MEN A STRAIGHT GUY IS THE ULTIMATE FANTASY. A DREAM THAT WILL NEVER COME REAL. BUT WHAT IF WE TALL YOU THAT THAT IS NOT TRUE. WHAT IF WE TELL YOU THERE ARE STRAIGHT MEN THAT ACTUALLY ARE AVAILABLE.

New York is a city of contrast. The tiny island of Manhattan offers home to many New Yorkers and so it is not surprising the differences between lifestyles are abundantly clear. The easy life some live make it harder for others. And so it is not surprising those who want more, are following the successful in their footsteps. Armani for example.

Armani was born Maracaibo, Venezuela and moved to the United States when he was 7 years old. Living a modest life he occupied a small apartment together with his girlfriend and little daughter in New Jersey. There is nothing wrong with this except that sometimes you can have the feeling that living in New Jersey always feels like living in the shadow of New York. It’s majestic skyline always reminds you of the dynamic energy and successful lifestyles of many New Yorkers. And if your own brother is one of those New Yorkers, you can imagine that a day might come that you want more from life for yourself and your little family.

Gio Dell, you might remember him from last September, has made himself a lucrative living as masseur and rent boy. His hot Latin looks and muscular body has given him a broad clientele, offering Gio the opportunity to live a generous life style. And by doing so, Gio became a role model for other boys who are looking to improve the quality of their life. Boys like Armani, who – yes you probably already saw it in the photos – happens to be Gio’s younger brother. And so, when Armani realized that Gio was living the life he dreamed of, he gave it long and hard consideration. Was this something he could do as well? Learn to be a skilled masseur? Rent himself as male company, possibly more? Having a family, the decision isn’t an easy one. But driven by the need for more quality in life, Armani made the step and followed in his brothers footsteps.

Armani is charming, happy and energetic. His down to earth personality and boyish looks have made him a very popular masseur in no time. His current employment has boosted his confidence and Armani has learned he is also quite comfortable now in front of the camera. And so he has also started to model. Both for artistic exercises and fashion shoots. And that is good, because all Armani wants is to provide for his small family and offer them the lifestyle they deserve. Armani is happy. He provide quality for his family and a dream come true for his clientele. And by doing so, Armani is living proof of the American dream coming true. –BM-

Osiris Cruz by Brian Jones

EARLIER THIS YEAR WE SENT YOU OSIRIS AS A VERY SPECIAL VALENTINE DELICATESSE. THAT PARTICULAR PHOTO SET WHICH HE HAD SHOT WITH RYAN BOYD, WAS THE FIRST TIME OSIRIS GRACED THE DIGITAL PAGES OF BEAUTIFULMAG, AND WE JUST KNEW, OSIRIS HAD A LOT MORE TO SHOW. FORTUNATELY WE WERE RIGHT.
Many photographers have chosen the male physique as their specialism, but in this category there are once again several directions to work in. Brian Jones has specialized himself in calendar photography which places his models always as the hero object in his portraits. Don’t get me wrong. This doesn’t mean Brian only does one particular thing. His work allows enough room to explore territories such as fashion, fitness, sports, lifestyle and fetish. Besides this Brian Jones is also the principal photographer for CPS Multimedia LLC, a company specializing in male stock photography.

Brian Jones works and lives in both Atlanta and Los Angeles. The latter is the place where he is currently in the development stage of a gallery, featuring models solely from the city of angels in bold poses at work, in love or simply having fun. While preparing his gallery work, Brian has been doing quite some test shooting for which he choose to work with some of his favorite models. Osiris Cruz being one of them. This set was shot in Brian Jones’ Los Angeles studio, using just a very simple lighting set up.

Osiris Cruz first started working as model for local L.A. based photographers which led him to model underwear and swimwear for brands such as Andrew Christian, CA_RIO_CA and boyRio. We do not have to ask why. Osiris seems to have the perfect physique for underwear modeling. Osiris has worked with Brian Jones on several occasions and is a big fan of the photographer’s work: “What struck me most about Brain is how he masters light and how he portrays the male form in a sensual, playful and classy style. I contacted him and we had such a chemistry in the studio. He made me feel very comfortable and embraced all my ideas as well.” Osiris Cruz’ latest set with Brian Jones is his dedication to the person his is in love with. His aspirator works as DJ under the name X, hence the X ring in some of the portraits. –BM-

Gert Kist | Beefcake

PLANNING THE SEX EDITION IS NOT AN EASY TASK. AFTERALL, THERE ARE ONLY SO MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WE CAN REPRESENT IN A TIME SPAN OF TWO WEEKS AND THERE ARE MANY CANDIDATES FOR THIS ANNUAL FEATURE. SO WE NEED TO BE VERY SELECTIVE. AND WHEN GERT KIST EXPRESSED HIS INTEREST, WE HAD TO THINK TWICE.

It isn’t that we don’t like the work by Gert Kist. On the contrary. I think if you scroll through our archives, it will become clear how much we appreciate the work by the Dutch Malemodel.nl photographer. No, our hesitation to include Gert in our 2011 Sex Edition was based on an entire different point of view. Gert’s photography is so hot and the features we did with his many men so steamy already, we simply could not imagine what Gert could offer that would justify his presence in this special issue. Little did we know.

Malemodel.nl is built out of two separate galleries: the Glamour Portraits and the Erotic Nude section. Knowing how suggestive the Glamour Portraits already are, we didn’t dare to imagine what the content of the second gallery could be like. Malemodel.nl is a member site and apparently there is a very good reason for that. Gert’s Erotic Nude series are carefully protected and it is extremely rare any of these photos are released for the public eye. So when Gert Kist decided to give us a glimpse in his kitchen with the most raw ingredient, who were we to decline the offer. Let alone to withhold it from you.

The reason we have featured many of the Malemodel.nl men already is not oly due to the fact we are fan of Gert Kist’s work. It has been made abundantly clear to us many of you like to see more of Gert’s boys. So here you are… you ask for more, so more you get. From Callum to Tyler, from Hyugo to Maarten – who is probably the most popular man on Malemodel.nl. All of them have been featured before on BeautifulMag, sometimes more than once. But never did you see them as provocative as today. Once again Gert Kist brings us the crème de la crème of what The Netherlands and some of its surrounding countries have to offer when it comes to the absolute beefcake. There is Something about Ray

IT ALWAYS STRIKES US AS INTERESTING HOW SOMETIMES WE RECEIVE A SUBMISSION OF A PHOTOGRAPHER FEATURING A MODEL, SOON TO BE FOLLOWED BY OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS FEATURING THAT VERY SAME MODEL. WE CANNOT PUT OUR FINGER ON IT. SOMETIMES IT JUST SEEMS LIKE ONE MODEL RISES TO A BLAST OF POPULARITY AND EVERYONE WANTS TO WORK WITH HIM AT THE SAME TIME. SOMETIMES IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ACTUALLY DO. RAY LUIS IS SUCH A MODEL. AND IT LEAVES LITTLE TO THE IMAGINATION WHY HE IS SO POPULAR.

OK let’s face it. Ray Luis is a handsome guy. There is nothing wrong with him. Strong manly face. Well trained and developed body. Dark Latin features and a look in his eyes that makes you wonder if he is conjuring up obscene things to do to you, or possibly inviting you to do it to him. But when we were first introduced to Ray earlier this month by Calvin Brockington, we soon realized there was something else about Ray that makes him stand out. And Ray had no problem proving we were right.

Let’s take a look back. Ray Luis was born in the New York borough Bronx, followed high school in Naples, Florida and currently resides in Detroit. In preparation for a career in acting, Ray is already active in modeling. Something that proofed to be quiet lucrative for this sexy man from Puerto Rican origin. Because as soon as he had put himself out there, photographers seemed to be lining up to have him in front of their cameras. Calvin Brockington had been in contact with Ray for some time already, but it just never seemed the right moment for the two men to get together for a photographic session. Until recently that is.

Recently Ray Luis went to Dallas in order to work with Calvin Brockington on a BeautifulMag feature. And since both realized this was kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity, they spent quite some quality time together, resulting in a very large amount of photographs. Some of those you saw in our last cover story. But Calvin had sent us many many more for publication. We decided to sit on these a bit longer – no pun intended. And today we believe the time is ripe to share some more ray Luis with you all. Quite literally that is, because today Ray goes all the way, showing that he has a more to offer than just a pretty face. A lot more that is. So sit back and relax. There is nothing intellectual about this. Ray Luis is just hot. –BM-

Diesel

WE HAVE ALL HAD THOSE EXPERIENCES IN LIFE THAT WE CAREFULLY PLAN AND STRIVE FOR, BUT MANY TIMES, FOR WHATEVER REASON, THEY ARE DELAYED. HOPEFULLY THOUGH, WHEN THEY COME TO FRUITION THEY ARE WORTH THE WAIT AND THE EFFORT, THIS WAS CERTAINLY THE CASE WITH DIESEL.

Ryan Boyd and Diesel had made contact almost a year and half prior to our actual session, but no matter how they tried to pull it together there were always roadblocks that got in the way, creating one delay after another. But, as they say, some things in life are waiting for, and this was one of those experiences. Truly one of the most energizing and fun sessions that Ryan had done in a long time. The bottom line is that they finally reconnected and Ryan Boyd managed to drag Diesel out to LA for a this session.

Diesel was born and raised in Colorado. He grew up surrounded by some of the most beautiful and majestic country in the world, pristine snow capped mountains and  lush forests, all of which were conducive to the creation of great sportsman and athlete. Couple that with an amazingly supportive family, and you have the formula that helped to design this amazing package.

It is always intriguing to find out what triggers a person to pursue and follow the discipline necessary to create and enter the world of body building/fitness modeling. For Diesel, it was during his middle years in school when he had his first exposure to a fitness magazine. He was so inspired by what he saw, that he set a goal for himself to have that kind of body. That triggered an intense desire to workout regularly, diet properly and build the type of lifestyle that would help him achieve that goal. Diesel is always striving to make himself even better than he currently is, always pushing the envelope.

Diesel was never really interested in or tried to pursue the world of modeling. As a matter of fact, like most young men, he did not even like to have his picture taken. He posted some images on My Space, just to network and socialize with his friends, only to get spotted an agency in New York that liked his looks and wanted him to come to the city and do some work. At this time Diesel was not even 18, so it required parental support, which he was lucky to have. He stayed in NY for about 18 months and was fortunate to get some really great gigs, but, just as things were starting to happen, he made the decision to return to school and let the modeling career sit in the background for a while. That is the type of decision that is brave and tough to make, as it is risky to step away from a blossoming your career in front of the camera when it is just starting to taking off. More times than not, the re-entry process becomes almost impossible. The world of modeling/acting waits for no one.

When Ryan Boyd finally met Diesel, he was blown away at how he had managed to morph himself into even more perfect shape, but more importantly was his attitude that rocked Ryan’s camera. “I think no matter how great a person looks or what shape they are in, it is the energy inside that make a session come to life”, Ryan explains. “It is the key ingredient that makes it all work. I merely hope that my work and the exposure that we get here in BeautifulMag, will help him on his journey to do more fitness modeling and land him a cover soon.” –BM-

In Bed with Maarten

WHO DOES WELL, MEETS GOODWILL. GERT KIST IS DEFINITLEY A LIVING EXAMPLE OF THIS PROVERB. AND SO IS MAARTEN, WHO ENJOYS TODAY HIS 3RD FEATURE ON BEAUTIFULMAG. OVERKILL? WE DON’T THINK SO. AFTER ALL, ALL GOOD THINGS COME IN THREE. AND IF YOU ASK US HONESTLY, THE GOOD THING MAARTEN IS CAN COME IN QUADRATE.

For those who forgot, a quick refreshment course. Maarten is 24 years old and is the ideal representation of Belgium delicacy. Those of you lucky enough to live in or around Antwerp might know this perfect example of masculine hotness from his work as barman and dancer. And even if you are not from there, the chance is that after having seen Maarten either here or on Gert Kist’s Malemodel.nl, you went there to visit him. We have no proof but we are sure the popularity of the bar where Maarten is employed has increased beyond expectations after the young barman started flaunting his best assets around.

Maarten is getting bigger every time he poses for Gert Kist. And we are not only talking about his popularity. We mean it quite literally. His muscle mass has increased and, judging to what we have seen, he has no complaints in other areas as well. We strongly recommend a visit to Malemodel.nl for you to discover for yourself. We promise, you won’t be disappointed. Needless to say, Maarten is one of the most popular models featured in Gert’s online gallery. And in celebration of that Gert recently invited Maarten over for a session in his bed. OK, I realize, this probably doesn’t sound the way I meant it. Gert is a worldclass photographer and most honorable in that as well. So when he did propose a shooting that involved his bed, it was with the best intentions and all Gert had his hands full with was his camera.

Gert Kist has been shooting beautiful men for quite some time now. A fact that has not gone by unnoticed. This summer Gert will enjoy his first exhibition in the Treehouse Gallery in the center of Amsterdam. The opening will take place on August 7, which is in the weekend of the famous Amsterdam Gay Pride. And thus probably guaranteeing an even higher amount of fans than we would already have expected. Not sure what Gert has planned for his exhibition, but it would be nice to see some of his models in real life as well. Maarten maybe? One can hope, no? We will be in Amsterdam trembling in anticipation, that is for sure. –BM-
