ES Collection could not have come with a better name for its new collection. For several reasons. One is the choice of model. Kirill Dowidoff already posed for ES before. In fact, his work with ES Collection back in 2012 was an enormous boost for his modeling career, and the handsome Russian has been offered many gigs ever since. But not forgetting who made that all happen, Kirill agreed once again to collaborate with the popular Spanish brand for their Fierce campaign.

The other thing that is ES Collection has ventured beyond underwear and swimwear. Already they launched their athletic wear collection and now there is also casual wear. Jeans, shirts, shorts. Yes even sneakers and belts. You simply have no more reason to not wear ES Collection. In fact, you can fill your closet with complete ES outfits from now on. And of course ES Collection guarantees that same superior quality we all know so well from their swimwear and underwear in this new exciting collection as well.

With a collection so hot as ES streetwear, it was no problem for photographer Joan Crisol to come up with e new, darting concept for a campaign. New, innovative garments from an exciting young brand, a smoking hot model who looks delicious in ES Collection and a photographer who is not only extremely familiar with ES but also one of the hottest on the European continent. That by itself would have been bold enough. But ES and Joan Crisol took it one step further. As usual. The threw a handful of wild animals in the mix and placed it all in a unique environment. And Fierce was born.

Fierce is a collection for the energetic man. Fierce is a collection for an energetic man, bold and without any complex. Remarkable fluo colors, new fabrics and the genuine ES Collection designs on the new jeans will not leave you indifferent. Haus of Jewels by Mikey

A MAN’S WELL-DEVELOPED BODY IS PROBABLY ONE THE MOST PRECIOUS PIECE OF JEWELRY YOU CAN OWN. IT’S THE ONLY THING THAT IS TRULY YOURS, UNIQUE AND UNEQUALED. BUT BEAUTIFUL AS IT CAN BE, SOMETIMES YOU JUST WANT A LITTLE BIT MORE. SOMETIMES A MAN’S BODY DESERVES TO BE ADORNED WITH SPECIAL MADE MAN’S JEWELRY.

Mike had always had an obsession with accessories. He originally started making ladies jewelry as unique gifts for family and friends. But as more and more people started to notice the special pieces, Mike experienced a demand and ended up making more pieces that he had originally planned. It wasn’t for long that his passion became so big that he turned into a real time job. Over the years Mike received many commissions to do large pieces of jewelry and sets, but slowly he already saw some requests for men’s jewelry, which was of course quite different from his usual work.

Quite a few times when Mike sold ladies pieces to friends and colleagues, he received the request to design and make something for their husbands or boyfriends. The increase in interest made Mike believe there was more of a demand for man’s jewelry than he could have imagined and so he started to explore his possibilities in this area. As a happy coincident, Mike’s lifetime partner Nige Rorbach is a well known photographer specialized in male autistics, who also thought that jewelry pieces specially designed for men would be a great addition to the male beauty he surrounds himself with on regular base. And so Mike set to work.

“I have always made pieces for Nige and myself as we both like jewelry,” Mike explains when asked about the origins of his men’s collection. “The difficulty with designing men's jewelry is to maintain the masculine element of each piece, which is why the range that launches in April starts with semi precious stone bracelets with stones like Tiger's Eye, matt black Onyx and Obsidian which are darker in color." Mike’s men’s jewelry collection will launch in April on the Alphamaleundies website. The first collection to be released will be a range of precious stone bracelets for men, followed by a series of necklaces in the summer.

Having a partner who is a successful photographer of the male form, offers of course the unique possibility to display the unique and well designed jewelry pieces in a stylish and sensual way. The difficulty in this is however to find a model who can bring the pieces to life in their own rightful beauty. Not an easy task and when we first heard James Cohen was cast for the job, we were a bit afraid. After all, we have come to know James as a piece of jewelry by himself. But we couldn’t have been more wrong. Mike continues: "James was the perfect choice of model, and will be the face of my men's range. He's masculine, sexy and incredibly talented, and both Nige and myself knew that he would deliver stunning images."

The pieces that are in the images are all one off, unique necklaces that were designed specifically to launch Mike’s Haus of Jewels man’s jewelry range. They can be replicated but the individual pieces will never be identical. This is because Mike wants his customers to feel special, and give them the feeling and knowledge he has designed something with them in mind. "It's always nice when someone notices or comments on one of the pieces I have made, and it's a great feeling when I see someone wearing something I have created. After all, everyone deserves to sparkle."

El Hierro: ES Collection 2013

EL HIERRO, NICKNAMED ISLA DEL MERIDIANO (THE "MERIDIAN ISLAND"), IS THE SMALLEST AND FARTHEST SOUTH AND WEST OF THE CANARY ISLANDS. IT’S BEAUTIFUL FLORA AND FAUNA AS WELL AS THE GENEROUS CLIMATE, HAS MADE EL HIERRO A POPULAR TOURIST DESTINATION. MORE OVER, IT WAS ALSO THE PERFECT BACKDROP TO DISPLAY THE LATEST COLLECTION SWIMWEAR FROM ES COLLECTION.

For four days the creative team of ES Collection captured spectacular images on El Hierro. ES Collection worked closely with the council of the island and the tourism office with the purpose of displaying the images in the most remote and spectacular landscapes of El Hierro. Besides of having the luxury of shooting the campaign in such beautiful scenarios, the brand served its purpose to support and promote internationally the tarnished image of the island after the 2011 volcanic eruption. "The result of combining the “Mars style” landscapes with stunning models and colourful designs probably made this campaign the best ever so far" says Joan Crisol, official photographer of the popular fashion brand.

With the 2013 campaign baptized "El Hierro" the brand presents a swimwear collection produced entirely in Spain (as all ES collection products) with first quality materials, unique design and fluorescent colors. In a few words, a collection unsuitable for shy people. It also incorporates its two worldwide patents, the solar tattoo and the Pack-up system in several of its models. "In my opinion, the word that better describes this wonderful collection is AWESOME, with no doubt the best one by far”, says Eduardo Suñer, ES collection Product Manager.

The now famous Pack-up system is a preformed foam cup that helps to improve the aesthetics and promotes an instant effect of increasement of the male attributes, in addition to not marking the swimsuit front side. But the brand not only brought to the market this innovation, but also patented the Solar Tattoo, a transparent fabric that allows the sun's rays pass through the garment and tan cool forms on the skin.

ES Collection was founded in 2006 in Barcelona. Months after its first start and stunning success in Spain, it began expanding over different continents  and is currently present in various countries such as England, Germany, Australia, Japan, United States, Brazil, Canada…etc. Today ES Collection has over 300 representatives spread across five continents and even if the world is facing a scenario of global crisis, the company has opened in recent months four new stores in Vienna (Austria), Cologne (Germany), Mexico City and Milano (Italy). –BM-

WHILE OUR PART OF THE WORLD SIGHS AND GROANS UNDER THE WEIGHT OF THE LONGEST COLD SPELL SINCE MANY YEARS, WE TOOK ON THE CHALLENGE TO BRING A LITTLE HEAT IN THESE GREY-CLOUDED DAYS. OF COURSE WE CAN’T DO THAT ALL BY OURSELVES. NO, WE FOUND SOME HELP IN THE PERSONS OF ANDRES RAMIREZ AND MARIO HERVÁS TO MELT THE ICE.

Andres Ramirez has been known to be one of the best underwear photographers of today. Why you ask, have we not heard or seen him here on BeautifulMag before than. Why indeed. But all of that has come to an end as of today, with his first BM feature. Hopefully to be followed by many more, as we can never have enough Spanish caliente. Especially on days like today, when the temperature hoovers around the freezing point. But no matter how good Andres’ is, it still takes a little more to scare the Winter King. Andres found that little more in the person of Mario Hervás and a handful of the most prestigious and important underwear brands of today.

Andres Ramirez studied at the School of Arts & Crafts and the School of Photography in Cadiz, Spain. He completed his photographic training with several seminars across the country and started his successful career by providing imaginative books for models. More and more he came to the conclusion that his skills would be best of use in the area of men’s underwear and swimwear. We can think of worse things to do. The result is clear and Andres' underwear photography has become a benchmark in the industry.

Spain is by definition the European country of sun, sea and beach. And those three elements automatically lead to a good sense of physical care of its inhabitants. Spanish men are known for it. Strict work-out regimes and bodies that are crafted to perfection. Mario Hervás is no exception. On the contrary, he might very well be a flagship example of the perfect man. Only 21 years old, Mario is not only mature in physical shape, but also in his personality and professionalism. A combination that has labeled him to be one of the fastest up and coming male model in Spain. Based in Ciudad Real, Castile–La Mancha, Mario travels the country for model gigs and it is only a matter of time before he will start spreading a bit of the Spanish heat over the rest of the world as well. "The Nasty Pig Fall/Winter 2012-13 collection began with the idea that, in our culture, creativity is often mistaken for insanity," said Nasty Pig CEO David Lauterstein. "They’re two sides of the same coin. Highly creative people have different brain structures. They tend to live in the moment, absorbing a lot of detail, and don't see things as linearly as the rest of the population. This can seem a lot like what society technically classifies as insanity, which is how we arrived at the theme of Technically Insane."

"We infused the idea of Technical Insane throughout the design of the collection," added Nasty Pig Creative Director Frederick Kearney. "Our cut and sew pieces have details evoking the wrapping and closure found in straitjackets, with garments like the F-19 Flight Suit and the Ward Shirt featuring snaps that allow them to fasten in unpredictable yet functional ways. We played with the idea of illusion and the ways that reality can be questioned in garments like the Delusional Fleece – a riff on the classic cable knit sweater, featuring a discharge print of an enlarged photo of a knit we created in-house."

"Throughout our graphic prints, we play with the ideas of confinement often associated with insanity, and pair them with imagery familiar from our fetish heritage," Kearney continued. "The Trapped Longsleeve pairs straitjacket-esque padding at the forearm with a sublimation print on the right arm that brings to mind a person ‘trapped’ inside the garment. The Ink Blot tee incorporates our logo into a Rorschach test. Bending reality further, our image of the Slice It Sleeveless features our model Christos (who is featured on the shirt) confronting a version of himself."

"We really wanted to illustrate the concepts behind the collection in this campaign, which allowed us to stretch our creative boundaries," said Lauterstein. "Fred conceived and executed the project from front to back; his role included building sets (such as "The Rubber Room"), blocking shots and creating primary styling throughout the shoot. He took and retouched every photo. And the shoot was also an in-house job in terms of casting – our models Abel, Mike, Gary, Matthew, and Christos, all members of the Nasty Pig Crew, have each been featured in previous editorials for the brand. And Nasty Pig’s retail team discovered our new face Sinaka when he walked into our boutique. His dreads are crazy." –BM-
