Thank you for such a sober, yet beautiful post. My heart goes out to the people of Norway as they deal with the aftermath of the tragedy there. One article on BBC that I read was entitled "The Politics of Hate" and its heartbreaking that we even need to classify such things. Why people believe that hatred is a sufficient motive for social action continues to mystify me.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend and a joyful week to come. Let's remind ourselves that to bring beauty and joy into the world, however small, is to bring solace to troubled times. Such acts, however small, are light in darkness.

remeber FUKUYAMAS END OF HISTORY?It seems his arrogance at belonging to the one imperial power did not allow him to live in the real world. Great tragedies such as HIROSHIMA leave sequels such as cancer generation after generation. Our American wars are far far away and we only kill plenty of civilians like in VIETNM,,KOREA.
If our President won NOBEL PEACE PRIZE
CONTINUYING WARS OUR FUTURE SEEMS BLEAK

I so agree with Catherine's remarks above.
