Your editorial is so true! I worked in publishing and any model whether new or pros with any sense of professionalism will expect a model's release form agreement. It is a business for both in front and behind the camera to be taken seriously.

Very well said!

I completely agree. I've had many requests to remove material, and I ALWAYS do, but like you said, once you sign the release, you kind of give up the right to make demands.

I'm especially troubled by models who say that they don't want their images associated with gay-oriented blogs. This to me is beyond ridiculous. Even if I never featured another model's image on my blog, I can still see them in a hundred other places. As a model, expecting to control WHO sees your images is like walking around in public with a bag on your head.

If they're so obsessed with things like that, maybe they SHOULD get photographed like that. It'll save everyone TONS of time!

I am most impressed with your editorial. You did not take any risk writing this and it is hopefully a reprimand for those models who dare to remand to have their photo taken down after using you and cashing in on it. You are doing an excellent job with your writing, selection and editing and have therefore made BeautifulMag in one of the Top Magazine's in the world, according to my European friends as well.....congratulation, I hope you will be carrying on for a long time !!!

I totally agree with your editorial and with all the other comments above. I, and probably almost all photographers of the genre, have experienced models who have second thoughts and then demand their pictures to be removed. I mean really, where did they expect their pictures to be published? I had one model who specifically refused to be shown in BeautifulMag, I of course complied, but said: he should have been so lucky to be included in your exceptional magazine...
