Three words come to mind when I see this set: "Of Two Minds"

It reminds me of a dark Cinderella-type story. The king of the masquerade is coming undone (losing the silver) but the true personality, hidden behind a skein of shadow (fabric) is both wanting to come out and not wanting to be so exposed.

You get the outgoing, charismatic extrovert in the silver and the mask, but you also see the shy, fearful introvert hidden in the background wanting to be the other but too afraid to leave the shadows.

Whatever the actual intent was, I like it. It is well done. :)
