While it's one thing to honour and remember those that lost their lives, be sure to not go further and succumb to survivor guilt.

I think looking at this memorandum as 'succumbing to survivor guilt' doesn't do right to the editor/writer. You might say the same about the 9/11 Memorial, Veterans Day or anything that help us remember victims. The story is well written. Pure facts and a personal note. The video is both shocking and touching. It's an emotional letter and beautiful memorandum. Nothing more
